Frequently Asked Questions
What the heck is a lick?!
In music, a "lick" is a pattern made of short notes inside a music arrangement. I believe they're very useful if you're looking for something to add to your arrangements since they can work out as transitions between two chords or simply something to play in the middle of a beat.
"Plenty of cool stuff to play in here. No surprises that the blues section has the juiciest licks. I wasn’t expecting it but the pop one was my second favourite. And plenty in the others to interest me too."
"I've used some of the easier licks for teaching intermediate level playing kids of eleven to thirteen years of age. I've found they can learn them quite quickly when prepared to stick at trying them until they're playing them."
"Honestly, for any beginner to intermediate player, I have absolutely no hesitation in saying just go and grab them all! At this price they are amazing value and give you great foundations to build your playing on. For more advanced players, you may learn some new tricks and you'll certainly find inspiration for new ideas in your own playing."
